3 Reasons to Love BSF’s Revelation Study
Discover hope today and assurance for eternity
Bennett Rolan
BSF Communications Manager
My husband’s career as a football coach has taken us across the country and back. Whether we moved to the desert of southern Utah, or to the bluegrass of Kentucky, I have loved leading Bible study groups wherever God has planted me. I have often repeated this prayer from BSF founder Audrey Wetherell Johnson:
“I love your Word above all things. I would love to spend my life teaching others to find what I have found.”
But when it comes to leading a group through a book like Revelation, I can feel completely ill-equipped. In trying to uncover the mysteries of Revelation, I have explored commentaries, multiple curriculums, and spent time listening to podcasts and sermon series.
In all my searching, I continue to return to my Revelation lessons and notes from BSF’s 2016 study. I could easily share 15 reasons why I have faithfully packed my well-worn Revelation study book through six cross-country moves. But today, I’ll give you three.
1. You won’t get lost in charts and timelines.
Though many of us may be tempted to use Revelation as a tool to predict the future, Scripture is clear that the timing of Christ’s return is a mystery.
Jesus told us, “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come” (Matthew 24:36-37, 42).
In BSF’s Revelation: The Hope, the lesson questions and notes approach God’s Word with humility, not assuming a complete understanding of mysterious passages.
In BSF’s Revelation: The Hope, the lesson questions and notes approach God’s Word with humility...
One BSF staff member wrote, “We boldly assert what is unmistakable and graciously discuss what is not as clear. Christians should interpret the Bible according to the literal sense of the author’s intended meaning. We must acknowledge that John may have symbolically described visions too glorious for common language. He also may have offered more exact descriptions to avoid mistaken impressions.”
Through this approach, lesson questions, notes, weekly discussion groups, and lectures serve as a guide through complicated passages.
2. You will find space for honest discussion and differing opinions.
During the 2016 Revelation study, I remember sitting in my discussion group thinking, ‘How is this ever going to work?!” Our group seemed completely divided between two very different viewpoints on a single Revelation passage. In that moment, I was fully expecting the conversation to escalate into an argument. What I witnessed instead was a kind and supportive discussion around a topic that our group found fascinating.
How is this possible? Because BSF approaches Revelation with the viewpoint that “all Scripture is equally true, but not equally clear.” With that humility, BSF carefully presents several prominent perspectives regarding end times theology.
What I witnessed instead was a kind and supportive discussion around a topic that our group found fascinating.
Discussion groups become a place to learn and grow together, instead of a battleground of opposing viewpoints.
There is no expectation of coming to your group with the “right answers,” just a willing heart to seek God through His Word. By approaching every lesson like an adventure, we find new opportunities to learn from one another each week.
3. You will leave each week loving and longing for Jesus.
At the core of BSF’s Revelation study is a singular focus:Jesus. Since this book was primarily written to comfort and encourage suffering believers, each week’s study is packed with reminders of the joy we find in Christ.
Key themes you’ll discover are:
- God is in control—He wins!
- God rights all wrongs and repairs all brokenness. He sets everything straight.
- Revelation is far more about Jesus’s glory than about future events, symbols, or timelines.
Through Revelation’s 22 chapters (404 verses) you’ll find a single unifying concept—hope.
If you struggle to find meaning in this broken world, then Revelation: The Hope is for you. If your friends or family members wonder how God could possibly be at work today, then Revelation: The Hope is for them.
If I learned one thing from BSF’s Revelation study, it was how to place my hope in the One who promised, “Yes, I am coming soon” (Revelation 22:20a).
Together, as a BSF community, we will learn to pray: “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20b).

More to Know About Revelation: The Hope
Did you know that each BSF theme design is carefully crafted to elevate the Scripture we study? This is what you can expect to see during Revelation: The Hope:
The colors: The bright colors in the palette represent our hope in Christ bursting forth to overcome the darkness.
The shapes: You’ll notice that the colorful shapes on our book cover arc to resemble a cross, reminding us that God is in control and Jesus is victorious.
The gradient: Throughout the Revelation study, you’ll notice that decorative shapes move in and out of focus with a gradient effect. The blurred edges that move into crisp lines represent the idea that even though we don’t see clearly today, our future hope is clearly defined in Christ.

At 76 yrs of age, I am a newbie to Bible studies. I loved Revelation. To me, it seemed that Revelation sat in the middle of all the old stories I had learned as a child. With each step, as our studies referenced other verses or stories, it felt as if Revelation was pulling that part of God & His wisdom in, just as a mother hen gathers her chickens under her wings. The way BSF Revelation set-up the weekly studies helped make sense of what I remembered about the Bible.
It has encouraged me to forge ahead to EXILE & RETURN.
This class seems to be self-taught with the aid of the workbook, no teaching involved..True? Then why attend when I go through the questions on my own?
Nan – are you in a BSF group? There is group dissuasion and a weekly lecture that are key to the BSF study experience!
I have been in BSF for 5 years waiting for the Revelation Study to be taught. I am so excited to be a part of this study. Several things have happened to deter my efforts to attend. My prayers are for God to clear my calendar on those days that I have my Zoom classes. I want to hear every word and grow closer to my Savior.
We are just finishing Revelation now!
Online course taught by Abby, terrific leader in BSF…tuesday eves…4:30 WST
Zoom it online until May 6, 2025
This is my first BSF study. Hope my Zoom connection works well on my Android phone.
the radiance of JESUS CHRIST our LORD even shows through the above paragraphs – thanks for the praise – it is going to make my day.
I loved each of these encouraging articles & I feel new courage to continue on. I often feel awkward & don’t express myself as well publicly even though I have filled numerous journals of precious learning privately as I sit at Jesus’s Feet & learn of Him & have experienced such intimacy with God that I have come to Love His Word more & more every day. I long to learn more about Revelations & all that Jesus wanted us to be comforted by knowing & understanding. I love all the suggestions for group discussions & pray for my group that we will develop that supportive harmony that helps us grow together. Thank you for ALL these wonderful uplifting words that have helped me so much to approach these lessons with courage & less anxiety & tools to help me be a better group participant. God bless all these wonderfully talented writers. I appreciate this more than I can express in my words.
As a relatively new group leader, I find much help from the tips provided.
Yes , so do I ! Thanks!
I am already in a class. i need book and also ability to listen to the lecture. But so far nothing.
Hi Julie, we are blessed to partner with Gulf Business Printing for the Revelation study books. To purchase, please use the BSF Store button on MyBSF. The BSF Store button is in the lower section of the left side panel on MyBSF. You may need to expand the left side panel using the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen, next to the MyBSF logo. The lecture can be found by visiting MyBSF and clicking “Lessons” in the left side panel. Lectures are posted to the previous week’s lesson, so you may need to use the left arrow next to the lesson number to go to the previous week. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the upcoming study of Revelation. I appreciate what you had to say.
In every BSF Lesson my objective in joining the study is fulfilled because i keep Yearning for the Word of God.Life in essence gets a purpose and this gives me Hope.
I am looking forward to participating in a group discussing the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Your remarks in his blog are encouraging. Many churches do not teach or preach from this book. Your method of teaching and discussing this book perhaps will open the doors as BSF members share that this book can be studied in a way where people can agree to disagree in love and not in strife. I have studied this book in Bible College and Seminary and again looking forward to being blessed as the Holy Spirit teaches the precious Word of God within the fellowship of BSF. This is my first time in BSF. God bless you!
Is there a way to do BSF on my phone? I recently obtained a cell phone for the first time, so I need instructions on how to proceed. Previously, I used my computer exclusively. But with a myriad of computer problems, I am wondering if the phone would be a better choice. Thank you for any help you can provide!
Hi Linda, I’m sorry to hear you’re having computer trouble. You can absolutely use your cell phone for BSF. I’m going to reach out to you via email so we can hopefully get you set up for this year.
Blessings, Meredith
Meredith
I have the same problem
I think connecting through. The phone may be the answers to last year’s glitches.
I need step by step Help
Thank you
The support team here has been great.
I heard last week about this idea. Use my phone.
My name is Elizabeth White I’ve been a member of BFF over eight years. The study of the Bible has helped me and many ways. My belief and God will never diminish, and I encourage all that I have been in contact with during my tenure. I know him to be a healer because I am a three time stroke survivor. Praise God.. My sisters that I have studied with during these years, have ones that been compassionate in Christ.
I am a returning BSF student who has done all the studies except revelation. I began going before I married and then took my 3 boys through the preschool program. I have recently been doing the at Home Bible study with Betty Kilpatrick and Gail O’Neil. I had the privilege of hearing both these women’s lectures on the word of God. When my ex daughter-in-law reached out to me for a bible study, I thought of BSF. She is a new Christian and I believe this will be her first ever study into the word of God! Since I have not done revelation, the Lord impressed upon my heart that I should do this study with her and her 7 year old daughter, my granddaughter, Wesley! My hope is that she will be put into a group with young working women whom she can relate to and bond with. I realize the groups are individually prayed for so this is my prayer and “Let the Bible fill her memory, rule in her heart and guide her feet” Henrietta C Mears
Hi. Thanks for the sharing. I’m truly looking forward to learning and of course read the Book of The Revelation. A rarely read book unless when being remind that he’ll does exist. May God’s spirit be with us – especially those studying this Book for the very first time….like myself.
Thank you..I too am a first timer.
Gail – praying for you as you begin your study year!!
Hi my name is Karen and this is my very first BSF study. I’m very excited to see what God will reveal to me through the book of the revelation. To God be the glory
This year will be my second immersion in BSF’s Study of Revelation. My first encounter opened my eyes and heart to John’s view of Heaven that cemented my view and discernment of Christ Jesus’ magnificent heavenly authority, and His love for all of us. This time I am hoping to discern the role of today’s Churches in their commitment to Christ Jesus in delivering an unbiased and unadulterated view of God’s Kingdom.
When will the ADULT class questions be on MyBSF? I’m ready for them.
Thanks
Barbara – those questions should already be on mybsf! if you are having issues you can click the link “have questions?” in the bottom right corner to connect with our member support team!
I signed up for the group here in Louisiana, and would like to know how to get my book.

Bennett, Thanks for sharing your thoughts and helping us to feel less worry about facilitating or attend revelation. Curious to know your other 12 reasons. Could you share them? Thanks.
Hello! I have requested to be put in group for the upcoming study and await placement. Are we supposed to be working on the 30 day devotional prior to the study? Is there a book for that? And also, can you tell me what date the Revelation Study starts?
Hi Shannon, so glad you are going to be joining us for Revelation! I’ve checked your registration and you have been placed, so you should be hearing from your group leader soon. Classes start in North America the second week of September, so your first class meeting should be Thursday, September 12th. Also, the 30 day devotionals aren’t required or anything you’re “supposed” to be working on, they are available as a way to get ready for the study.
Blessings, Meredith
… thirsty disciple am I … Revelation has been a far off thought in past years … it illuminated this year and I pray that I will receive what God wants me to know … I come with openness and expectation all in one … looking forward to a wonderful experience in a familiar community … in His Love …
When I contacted the ladies on my list about start time and that they had been placed in my group for the Revelation study I kept getting the same response! ” I can’t wait, I am so excited, and finally it’s time!” Each lady felt just like me, eager to start and hear what the Lord has for us in His book of HOPE.
When does the fall 2024 Revelation study begin?
Hi Bonnie, the Revelation study will begin in North America the second week of September. Please contact your group leader to confirm, but I believe your first class day will be Thursday, September 12th.
Blessings, Meredith
I have not heard from my group leader with instructions . Can you help?
Hi Barbara, I’ve checked and you are currently listed as inactive in your previous Wednesday morning class. If you would like to rejoin this class, please use this link and select “Request to Join.” Someone from the class will reach out to you about being placed in a group. Could you resend it to me?
Hi Suzanne – you can find that here! https://bsfblog2025.onecreative.net/30-day-devotional-day-by-day/
I cannot wait to study Revelation !!! I look at our society and sometimes my hope gets dim!! God wins!!! That is my focus!!
My Husband and I were Broken- we received Christ Jesus but there was nothing truly Biblical around to learn anything ** Living in a new Place for us, Minnesota from Michigan. My Bill was invited by 2 neighbors to go with them to BSF: He really liked it! God was at work and came alive in Him… therefore He told me to Go—- It was the Book of Genesis……..I was amazed and today —-2 Two States later, now in Florida BSF is still the groundwork of the Bible knowledge and love of Jesus. My Bill has gone to Jesus, we were both in the book of Matthew. I’m anxious and eager for Revelations. Thanku Ann Graham Lott, I invite people always to BSF
amen and amen !
Bennett, do you have something made up that we can share with local churches to put in their Sunday bulletins, informing their congregants of our BSF study of Revelation? It would be nice to visit with pastors and give them a printed up suggestion of what to put in their bulletin to let their people know what is coming up if they so choose. It would be a helpful tool if you did. Many thanks for all you do!
Ray- we do! https://bsfblog2025.onecreative.net/socialmedia/ you can scroll down to the Church Bulletin Insert section. Hope this helps!
I’m enjoying the daily “Revelation—Hope” study. Thanks so much for putting it out there for us all!!

Hi Kay – you can find that here! https://bsfblog2025.onecreative.net/30-day-devotional-day-by-day/
Hello Bennett,
Last year was the first year in BSF for my eldest daughter and myself. We have been greatly blessed by the lessons and the conversations in class. I signed up for the 30 devotionals preparing for September classes. I have received them until yesterday, I didn’t got devotion 14 but received 15 today. If you could send me devotion 14 I would greatly appreciate it.
Hi Vicki – you can find that here! https://bsfblog2025.onecreative.net/30-day-devotional-day-by-day/
I remember studying Revelations that year, I was going. Street ministry to the homeless. My Bible I left on the hood of my truck was picked up and never seen again. But I had highlighted Revelations.Hope whoever got it was thrilled.
Last year was my 1st year at BSF although I had wanted to join for several years but due to working as night shift nurse I was unable to join. My schedule changed weekly so I never worked the same nights and couldn’t commit so BSF knowing that I wouldn’t have the time required to stay current with the class or so I thought. IF I had only known that I could have made it work, I would have joined years ago. Last year was without doubt the BEST THING I have EVER done as far as Bible study goes. The lectures done by Heather are Spirit led, the notes are invaluable, the group discussions are eye opening, the friendships made are priceless the time spent parked on a select few verses weekly in deep study yielded a deeper understanding of those verses and that’s just a few of the benefits

Hi Phyllis, unfortunately study materials are only available to current class members. However, if an in-person group is not an option for you, BSF does offer groups that meet completely online. To join an online group, you can visit join.bsfinternational.org and choose the “Online” option. There’s a “Need Help?” button in the bottom right corner if you need any help finding a group. Praying that you will find a group for Revelation!

In the last study of Revelation (2016?), I did search diligently for charts and graphics to assist me in the study. But a great personal miracle came from the study in an indirect way… God opened my my mind up to His marvelous work and moment-by-moment presence in my daily life. I’m sure that this study will deepen both the knowledge and the revelation of what Jesus Christ’s atonement has done for all of human-kind.
I have signed up for the Revelation:The Hope Study in Sept, Viera, FL 32940. What book(s) do I need to order for this study

John MacArthur: “You and I believe the Gospel, not because we were wiser or more righteous than anyone else, but because God graciously intervened, opening our hearts to heed his words and believe.” Praises after praises to God, is the ultimate words that I could say for Him. Praying that He will continously inspire, pour out His wisdom upon me. And most importantly to transform me for a better representation of Him to others.

No problem Susan, just entered your email!
I tried to sign up for the Revelation devotional but was unable to. Can you help?
Mari – yes, I can help you!
Thank you so much for this email. I was a bit worried about my lack of understanding of so much of what the verses in Rev mean. In fact I have read the Living Bible version of Rev thinking that it would easier for me. It wasn”t. I am so looking forward our discussions and the lecture and notes this year.
I can not wait to start classes this year. I have never studied or even read “Revelation”. I think I will like it and it will not scare me as I always thought it would.
I loved the above comments and will be giving this website to a newly interested friend that I just met when I moved into a new living community. When I mentioned to her that I was beginning a new study on Revelation this year in BSF, she expressed an interest and I have invited her to join me!
I’m definitely looking forward to studying the book of revelation to learn more of God’s word. Like many others, study brothers in our group will help me separate the “wheat from the chaff” so my hope is more clear understanding.
I am humbly looking forward to study Revelation.
Thanks for the encouraging words Bennett. On June 11, a man named John wrote that he did not see the information about the symbols and your responded, noting that it had been left out and added later, to scroll down further and it would be there now. When I scroll down further, it gets into the comments and there is nothing at the end of the comments either. It is not in the original email – do we have to find it written again somewhere to have that added?
This will be my second year in BSF. I learned a lot while studying John & am looking forward to studying Revelations!
I am excited to study Revelation. This is my second time studying with BSF. There is no greater book to study than the Holy Bible.
I learned so much from the 2016 study which gave me a lot of hope for my sons who have fallen away from God (temporarily!). My husband is joining a group this year and I am looking forward to sharing with each other the rich discussions that BSF brings.
I signed up for and received the book for the Revelation Mens class and really look forward to it. I know our session at Otter Creek church is on Monday nights but no email updates have indicated when we start meeting. The confirmation was that someone would be in contact with details and I apologize if I’m getting ahead of your scheduled response time. Please advise start date and date of completion for my
summer planning. Thank you very much
Hi John,
Glad to hear you are looking forward to the study! Most North American classes follow a schedule similar to schools, starting in September and ending in May. You should begin hearing from your group leader closer to the beginning of the study, some time in August.
Blessings, Meredith
Thank you very much Bennett.
Yes the Christians have to meditate the book of Revelation;
And we know too that telling about hope helps us to evangelize; Nowdays there is no hope, we make difference with the unbelievers when we show our hope in Jesus Christ.
Thank you for sharing about the book of Revelation. I look forward to studying this book again. This will be the second time that I will be taking it. I talk a to my friend about it and she has signed up for it too.
Blessings on you as you continue to share God’s Word!
Fran – praying for your friend as she studies with us!
Thanks. Marie
I want to join Revelation
Thanks
Hi Susan,
Thank you for your interest in the Revelation study! Please visit https://join.bsfinternational.org/ to find and in-person or online group to join. In-person groups meet at a local church in your area, and online groups meeting completely online, so you can choose what works best for you.

This is my first time to study Revelations. I saw it as scary, death and many opinions of the book. Now I will see it as learn and growing together instead of battleground of opposing viewpoints; JESUS and His glory than about future events; God rights all wrong and repairs all brokenness and when Jesus takes my home!
I love the sharing tt while we wait, God works! Our God is not a passive God!
Can’t wait for Revelations to start in August! Thanks again for all d hard work!
This will be my 3rd time studying the Book of Revelation. The first time much emphasis as given to the deciphering the symbols and mysteries in the book. I enjoyed the 2016 class in BSF. My take away was finding Grace in Revelation. I look forward to the upcoming study’
I’m looking forward to the study of Revelation. I have not been involved with BSFfor over 30 years but have a very clear memory of the joy I had when attending the session each week. Life got in my way, but I am now older, wiser, hopefully, and ready to absorb The Lord’s word!!
Studying the Holy Bible for the past twelve years in BSF has really transformed my life, this is because I can now confidently shares the Word of God in the public which was not so before I joined BSF. Also, series of Seminars during each year of study has greatly helps me. For this reason, I have made up my mind with the guidance of the Holy Spirit nothing will stop me in continuing with BSF as the Romans 8:32-39 among other passages in the Bible keeps on encouraging me. AMEN.
I am excited and look forward to learning and hearing the different ways or interpretations we share. THANKS for the great info above in your article.
I am interested in getting involvedin a locaalBSF. Is there one in Bokeelia. FL?
Hi Patricia,

In-person groups meet at a local church in your area and online groups meet completely online, so you can choose what works best for you. If you do not find a class that meets in person, I highly recommend joining an online group!
Blessings, Meredith
Studying the Bible through BSF for over 30 yrs is the core of my heart.
My love for this ministry & total focus is on Jesus Christ. Magnify God & minister to those God brings to class. & beyond.
Thank you
Maxine
Looking forward to the Study in Shreveport, La. First time for me studying the Book of Revelation.
This years study will be my 4th study of Revelations. I was a part of the 2016 BSF study. It was better than my 1st two studies. I was double blessed. 2016 was the 1st year for a study group in Polson. I would attend the Tuesday evening meeting here, then the next morning, I drove 70 plus miles to Missoula where I was able to study and grow with another study group and speaker there. I am looking forward to this 4th visit with God and His John, again. It is not an easy book, but it is an even deeper picture of our Lord and God.. Be bless my sisters, brothers, and youth….Amen
Hello, Are you able to advise the approximate date the workbooks for the study of Revelation will be available to order?
They are available to order now.
I’m looking forward to studying the book of Revelation and to know more about Jesus.Thank you for this opportunity.May God Bless this study and the teachers 🙏🙏
Bennet’s Enthusiasm for this study of Revelation is “whetting” my desire to know what God has for me to learn and experience!
I was in BSF in the 1980’s. The structure of classes and teaching are excellent. Looking forward to being with you in September.
Thanks for this post!
I can’t wait to get started!!!! This is going to be fun!!!
I’m so excited to study Revelation again, but this time with upper elementary students. I look forward to seeing how the scripture grabs the hearts of these students and see how they live it out throughout the year. May God bless us and keep us close as we study and live it out ouselves.
I am having trouble finding the book for Revelation study. Is it available now? If so, how do I order it.
Hi Shirley,
We are blessed to partner with Gulf Business Printing for the Revelation study books. To purchase, please use the “BSF Store” button on MyBSF. The “BSF Store” button is in the lower section of the left side panel on MyBSF. You may need to expand the left side panel using the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen, next to the MyBSF logo. If you are a BSFO member, you will find the “BSF Store” button on the My Lessons page.

I have often experienced a mental fatigue and uncertainty when prompted to study Revelations. Your insightful approach to the study makes it simple and a can’t-wait-to-join study for me.
Early into the study of Revelation in 2016, I remember clearly thinking and feeling this is very different from other Revelation studies. Soon the Holy Spirit made it crystal clear. The difference was Jesus. From the beginning to the end, the focus was Him. The Alpha and the Omega Himself. I will be forever humbled and grateful that God still chooses to work through BSF to bring glory to himself alone!
I have read the book of Revelation twice but not quite understood it. To say that am looking forward to the study in the coming year is an understatement. I know that a lot of mysteries will be unraveled throughout the study and just thinking about it has me reeling with holy excitement. I have read the three reasons shared above leaving me more curious than ever. As i look forward to the study i also pray for open eyes and ears for everyone. May we experience hope in a new way.
This email really helped me take a deep breath and instead of being a little concerned about this study , you made me much more comfortable.
Thank you! I can’t wait!
Thank you for sharing. I am so excited to study Revelation. It will be my first time.
Thank you for this wonderful explanation of what to expect in this study. I needed this for sure.
Hi Bennett!
I met you at the Global Summitt this week. I would like to post “More to Know About Revelation: The Hope” section from your article along with a photo of the Study Guide. Is it copyrighted? I can add the “About the Author” section as well.
Blessings!
Cathy – feel free to use any of this material!
I love the above article of the reasons we study Revelation. I am looking forward to study this remarkable book again with BSF. Thank you all for your faithful services!
So well written and so looking forward to the study getting started!
This will be my first BSF class! Nothing like jumping in a study about Revelation! I am excited to take this class and get some explanation so that Revelation becomes more clear! 😊
Enid
This is my first BSF class studying Revelation. I’m looking forward to learning more.
We just moved to a new area here in Texas. A friend told me about the local BSF group. As a retiree, i was hoping to connect with some new faces to learn more about the community but also to strengthen my spiritual needs.
I was thrilled to discover the local group hosting “ Revelation”. I took this study many years ago and I certainly need to refresh my perspective with new direction. Cant wait for Sept to get started.
I have appreciated how BSF does such a great job of “keeping the main thing the main thing!” Like the rest of the world, I need Hope. I’m looking forward to studying Revelation, in depth, for the 1st time. Your article encouraged me even more, and provided me with winsome reasons for inviting others to join in the study. Thank you for using your talents for His glory, and may we all be drawn to our only Hope so much that we plead in unison, “Come Lord Jesus!”
I am so glad this email was sent on our upcoming Revelation study. I now realize so many misconceptions l possess are untrue. I especially like the explanation for the cover colors and design. I initially looked at the study guide and decided it was not a soothing and comforting design. Now l think it is perfect. . Thank you BSF teachers and leaders. I love BSF. It is truly the answer to my many years of prayer for better understanding of God’s word.
I have been in several Revelation studies. I have learned all my questions will not be answered. I learned from a PhD in Biblical studies over a ten week Bible study that even the most learned can not know all the answers regarding Revelation. I rest assured I can trust BSF will lend new light on Revelation.
Since i joined BSF in 2018, i never missed a season. I am full of expectation to know the Lord Jesus more in each lesson and i am overwhelmed as the Holy Spirit guides me into all truth. My christian life has never been the same since. God bless you more BSF for the opportunity to know Jesus more

Thank you for this and I’m looking forward to the study (for the second time!) I SO appreciate your approach. I really tire of churches & pastors that are dogmatic about Revelation and do all the things you say you won’t be doing! I love the approach!
loving and longing for Jesus. Yes and yes!!!
The note above about the discussion group growing is just what happened last year in our discussion group. We were a group of ladies who truly grew together. We literally said at the end that we all hoped to be in the same group next year too! Even if you disagree about a passage, it was an opportunity for me to grow in my own spiritual and personal study of the Bible. This will be my first time doing Revelation. I have done most of the other studies thru the years, some as a leader and others in discussion groups only.
Just received my study guide today. Can’t wait for the class to start! It looks awesome!
I have, as most, not seen the text of the study, Revelation: The Hope, but I have hope that the study will connect Old Testament passages and prophecies to the words as sent from God to the apostle John. It would be meaningful to see how the past leads into a general disposition of the winning final times. Not really trying to predict the hour or date, but how the past leads to what John envisioned for his contemporaries and all the way to us.
Greg – I love those Old Testament connections also! This year’s study brings many of those connections to light and your group will be so blessed by your knowledge in this area!
I have longed to study the book of Revelation. I love the comment: Because BSF approaches Revelation with the viewpoint that “all Scripture is equally true, but not equally clear.” I think this is a good reminder during our study
Thanks so much for highlighting some of the challenges ahead, but even more, for putting a spotlight on the goal of loving Jesus even more!
BSF is a wonderful way to study the Bible:
I love the research that is done in each lesson; the cross references are great way to get into the depth of the verses in the study.
I also am so grateful for the comments of others in the discussions. Everyone comes to the the study with a different viewpoint. That also gives depth to my study.
This “3 Reasons to love BSF’s Revelation Study” was lovely to read. Thank you for sharing. I loved it so much; I am going to take some keynotes down and share it with others. BSF has definitely helped me grow in the LORD in all its ways and even this newsletter.😊😉💜🙏
BSF have kept me studying GOD word
Me too
This is a legitimate BSF study! I attended several BSF studies when I lived in NC. I enjoyed them but found that I was not sure my answers to the question was right. I need a solid Bible study. Thank you
I want to order the Revelation book but could only find the downloadable version. Please advise how I can get the spiral book.
Thanks,
Kay
Dear Kay – you can order the book through your MyBSF or BSF Online accounts. The BSF store is open! Digital resources will be available on MyBSF in July.
Thank you Jesus for your work through all those in BSF that are disseminating your Word for the Father’s glory!
Blessed by reading the Three Reasons. I am looking forward to delving into this study and learning more about our Lord Jesus through this fascinating book!
What a blessing to read “3 Reasons to Love BSF’s Revelation Study” and to think about the great weeks of group study ahead!
I heard that a study group called BSF was starting Revelation in a few weeks time. The couple mentioned men and women’s groups. Since then I have sat in on two John lessons via zoom, with two to go. I am being drawn to sign up for Revelation, once I can sort out either some far distant group or go onto zoom link for the Sydney time zone. I am still pondering.
Roger – praying for you! We would love to have you join us
Looking forward to the richness of God’s Word and the Fellowship of small group’s.
Hi Roger. I’m a BSF leader in Sydney. There are a number of men’s classes around Sydney. Hope you can find one near you through the find-a-group function on the BSF International website.
Last year was my first year of BSF, and I totally loved my small group, and the sharing that we had. One never knows what another is dealing with, or going through, such as illness, the loss of a loved one, the aging of parents, or the daily struggles we face. There definitely was support there, and our leader was absolutely great. I love the study of the Gospel of John, and I am so excited about the study of the book of Revelation. This email from Bennett Rolan made me wish it was September, and not just mid-June! Thanks for all the work that is done to make this such a wonderful and spiritual growth-filled study!
Hi Brenda,
John was my first time also, and I’m so excited to start Revelation!!
I’m so excited to be apart of BSF study of Revelation for the second time. BSF has grown my faith and shaped my character over the years. I’m so grateful to God that he led me to BSF 12 years ago and I have encouraged many ladies to join.
What a
blessing to read “3 Reasons to Love BSF’s Revelation Study” and to fink about the great weeks ok group study ahead!
I’m so excited to be apart of BSF study this year for the second time. BSF has grown my faith and shaped my character over the years. I’m so grateful to God that he led me to BSF 12 years ago and I have encouraged many ladies to join.
Do the book come in large print? Thank you for clarifying more about the study I’m still nervous and apprehensive I’ve study this book twice and came away with more fear! Experienced death of mother right after first study and health challenges near death after 2nd study! I’m nervous but refusing to give into fear. I’m enrolled with online group
Brenda,
I just looked at my John book and the printing is not small, looks bigger than a regular book.
So glad you are going to study with us for Revelation.
Don’t be afraid. There is no better or safer place to be that being in Christ and part of his family. Because he wins we will win!
Please share bsf notes for the book of Revelation
blessings
Samuel Karuri
Hi Samuel,
The notes for each lesson will be available in the Resources section of MyBSF or BSFO when the study begins.
Blessings, Meredith
I’m having trouble ordering my book. When I go into the email that says I can order my book on Revelation ,it takes me to the study of John.
Hi Gail – if you look at the menu on your MyBSF or BSF Online account you can access the store! Our member support (accessible through MyBSF in the bottom right corner) can help!
I completed my first study with John this past year. Thanks to a brother in Christ that made me aware of BSF. Twenty years as an active member of my church and I was not aware BSF’s existence. I absolutely loved it! Deeper study than I had ever done and with a great group of men that were eager to learn and share our studies.
My point is, tell those you encounter about BSF. You just might change someone’s life for the better. Mines has been. Thank you for the invite Bill!
How do I sign up for the revelation study?
Hi Alice,
Thank you for your interest in the Revelation study! Please visit join.bsfinternational.org to find and in-person or online group to join. In-person groups meet at a local church in your area, and online groups meet completely online, so you can choose what works best for you.

I am excited and ready to dig into Revelation:the Hope. Praise God!
Matthew 24:36-37, 42 was quoted to remind us that Jesus said his disciples, and Jesus Himself, did not know the day or the hour when Jesus would come to destroy the temple. However, it also important to read verse 34 to show that He said He would come within that generation (within 40 years).
I have been encouraged by the Author Bennett. I look forward to the study of book Revelation and growing together with my group members in the word of God.
It is almost 43 years that I live with Truth of Jesus Christ. The day He entered in my heart I will never forget. The day I was changed, restored and entered in His presence. From that day , He rules in my heart and I serve His eternal Love and Truth. He is that wonderful Peace inside me, that Love that drives out all fears and the Truth that set me free from all evil. He gave me wisdom to recognize good and evil and wisdom to fear that living fire, that living Word inside me. It is heaven in heart and daily I am so grateful that He opened my eyes and let me see Him with my inner eye face to face. I hold on that Peace that leads me on a safe path with HIM. God that was in CHrist is my God now in my heart. Glory to My Lord.
Thank you for sharing your heartfelt insights on BSF’s Revelation study, Bennett. Your commitment to leading Bible studies wherever you go is a testament to your passion for God’s Word. Indeed, the emphasis on humility, open discussion, and focusing on Jesus as our ultimate hope resonates deeply. BSF’s approach to Revelation is transformative and inspiring, as it reminds us that it’s not about deciphering the future but finding comfort, encouragement, and unwavering hope in Christ during life’s trials. Your experiences and insights are helpful, and may your journey continue to be a light, inspiring others to grow in their relationship with Christ through studying His Word.
Thanks you very much for taking the time to let us know that the book of Revelation is “HOPE” and we will have the answer to all our questions on the way up (IAW JV McGee), thanks chuck
I am grateful to have read the above. I now have an enlightened and better perspective of the book of Revelations. The prevailing questions and slight form of anxiety have been replaced by HOPE. Yes, I am looking forward to the study in August. My most ardent prayer is for the salvation of my children, grandchildren, and the rest of my family.
Thank you, Jesus!
I have not been able to find any BSF STORE links on mybsf after I log in. I am signed up for an In Person class at a church in Pearland TX and have been welcomed via email. Can you please send me the LINK to the BSF Store so I can purchase my Revelation workbook.
Thanks.
Hi Barb,
I’m sorry you’re having trouble accessing the BSF Store. At the direction of the Board of Directors, the BSF Store can only be accessed through MyBSF or BSF Online. The BSF Store link can be found in the left navigation sidebar, in the section under “Home” and “Lessons.” You may need to expand the left side panel using the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen, next to the MyBSF logo. The BSF Store link is located in the list containing “Find A Group,” “Prayer Resources,” “BSF Blog,” and “BSF International.” You are also welcome to call the main BSF phone number and they can walk you through finding the link.
Blessings, Meredith
Does BSF make the online study group available to those signed up for IN PERSON, if circumstances prevent IN PERSON attendance . I’m hoping this “hybrid” process is available. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Barb, at this time BSF does not offer hybrid groups.
Blessings, Meredith
I would like to know if BSF teaches replacement theology? And why isn’t BSF seeming to pray for Israel? Israel is biblical not political
Thank you
Hi Joy,
BSF holds to a clear and specific Statement of Faith that outlines its doctrinal beliefs. BSF believes that the 66 books of Holy Scripture, as originally given, are in their entirety the Word of God verbally inspired and wholly without error in all that they declare and, therefore, are the supreme and final authority of faith and life. BSF does not promote or align itself exclusively with a specific Christian denomination. The BSF Statement of Faith is available on the BSF website.
In light of recent events in Israel and Palestine, our hearts are heavy with the loss, tragedy, and unspeakable violence experienced by so many, and we acknowledge the situation in the Middle East is complex, with no simple solutions.
Bible Study Fellowship affirms that all people are created in the image of God and, as such, hold immeasurable value, dignity, and worth.
We realize there are Christians on both sides of this conflict, yet we also believe that throughout history, God has made specific promises to Israel that He intends to keep. We desire to mirror God’s heart toward the Jews and the Arabs in the epicenter.
The violence and atrocities of this conflict and others around the world are shocking, yet the Bible says that these events will escalate as the end of the age draws near. Rather than fear, readiness for the Lord’s return calls for both faith and faithfulness and should motivate us to pray for the salvation of both Jews and Gentiles.
We pray for righteousness, peace, and justice in Israel, the Middle East, and the rest of the world.
Blessings, Meredith
I LOVE this article – just as I love BSF. BSF has opened my eyes, heart & soul to Gods Truth. I am forever thankful.
Thank you for sharing this information on Revelations, Bennett. I’m looking forward to my first time through this Study and very much anticipate a deeper love for Jesus Christ, Our Father God….. BSF is truly a treasured Gift… May God richly bless each and every one of you….. Trish Yates
One of my friends has been a BSF leader for years, and she encouraged me to join the study. Since I am disabled, it was difficult for me to get to the meetings. When we discovered I could join a Zoom meeting in the evenings, I was eager to join the study. I’m grateful that God led me to a good group of ladies who have been so good at listening to each other, sharing their own experiences and insights, and supporting each other in prayer. I’m looking forward to studying Revelation with them this season.
This will be my second year with BSF and am looking forward to more enrichment and deeper understanding of God’s word through Revelations.
So looking forward to this study.
When will books be available to purchase?
Hi Debra – they are available now! You can access the bsf store through your MyBSF or BSF Online account! If you are not a BSF member we would love for you to join a group! go to joinbsf.com
I got mine today!
Hi Bennett, When will the e book be available?
Hi ALlan, the book is available! You can access the BSF store through your MyBSF or BSF Online account!
Sorry Bennett, I didn’t make myself clear. What I meant is that I normally do the questions by downloading the lessons and the notes and I don’t need the physical copy. I would just want to know when it would be ready online.
Yes! The MyBSF questions will be available July 11
So looking forward to studying Revelation with BSF this Fall. I am registered for the 10:30 am session. Bennett’s beautiful words brought excitement to my heart! As another future attendee replied, I,too, thank everyone who is working for this study! So much preparation is done for those of us who are coming! Your dedication is certainly appreciated!
Hi since I joined Bsf I really feel like I’m progressing and learning about God’s word every day. and I pray for everyone’s else. that one day they will realize that without God .we’re nothing. !!
I am looking forward to the BSF study of Revelation this fall!
Trying to enroll for revelation study but having difficulty. Directions please
Dear Leesa, try beginning with joinbsf.com. From there you can select an in-person or online group!
I am currently the ACS in my class and was formerly a CL. After having completed all of the available BSF studies available at the time (back in the early ‘90’s) I stepped out to make room for all the ladies on the Waitlist.
I returned to class a few years ago when a friend, a GL at the time, told me, “You have to come next year, we will finally have “Revelation”!” I was blown away. This study sealed my faith – with all that is happening in the world today, knowing in my soul that God is in control, gives me a peace beyond all understanding. I have no fear of what is to come, because I know exactly where I will end up.
Without even thinking about it, I find myself telling every woman I meet that I am in BSF and , “you must come to the class next year, it’s Revelation and it will blow you away – it will give you such peace in this world.” Many of them have signed up already. The Lord is certainly using me!
Great! But when I click on Read More, I am taken to the “3 Reasons”, but nothing about the graphics and images in the book??? What am I missing?
John – great catch! That piece was invisible for some reason, it is now fixed!
Just keep scrolling down. It’s toward the bottom. Hope that helps
I came to know the Lord through BSF in 1976 attending in Walnut Creek CA (only 5 studies then). As our teaching leader spoke on that first day, tears streamed down my face. No one had ever told me that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus. She did and the studies always confirmed. Bennett said, “Revelation is far more about Jesus’ glory than future events, symbols or timelines.” I have heard and now seen that there have been a lot of changes in BSF. It sounds as though you have kept “the main thing the main thing”–Jesus. I have ordered my book and eagerly waiting for its arrival.
I am excited to be studying the book of Revelation. I am ready to hear the profound words of Hope that is yet come. Plus, I won’t be scared of book of Revelation anymore.
Beautifully written!!
I’m looking forward to studying Revelation for the first time this fall.
You’re introduction to Revelation is very helpful and personal.
You have great notes and insights to the lesson.
Thank you for your inspiring and comforting thoughts.
Thank you!
Very helpful approach to this study!
I have been wanting to study and understand this magnificent book for years. I have read it two or three times but can’t wait to dig deep and share views with the gals in my new group this Fall. Bless everyone this summer. Praise the Lord!
Thanks Bennett for her insightful and encouraging comments to study this “difficult” book. Look forward to rejoining my online study group in September.
BSF is the best Bible class I ever attended. When the Spirit leads
me, I share and encourage others to join!
I prayer for the leaders, the theology and staff who work hard to put these lessons of the Bible for us to learn.
I enjoyed the last study of Revelation and am looking forward to this next study. B.S.F. Has been a encouraging part of my growth as a man of God,came such a blessing. I would recommend it for any man or woman.
I have a question about the following sentence in this article…
“Christians should interpret the Bible according to the literal sense of the author’s intended meaning”.
Because the Bible was written over 2,000 years ago, how can we know what the “author’s intended meaning” was? And especially when some of John’s visions were “too glorious for common language”.
Susan, these are excellent questions! Are you enrolled in BSF for the Fall? These are topics that will be covered in the BSF notes. If you still have questions, your group leader and class staff are there to help!
That was very helpful and encouraging. I’ve been thinking this study is really going to be difficult. This changed my perspective.
I’m excited for this journey in Revelation to begin!
I am looking forward to the study of Revelation and it will be my first time doing this study.
It makes more willing to study revelation without fear. Also, not feeling so stressed out about different opinions.
I was raised in a Spanish speaking Roman Catholic household and still remember my mom wondering about the meaning of entities & events in the book of Revelation. The Lord used this memory as part of a series of events which lead me to surrender to Jesus as my personal Savior. Keep on teaching, expounding and explaining the majestic Word of GOD! It will continue to bear much fruit for Christ & His Kingdom.
Is revelation divided into two studies? Two years?
Hi Deb, just one study year!
This will be my first BSF study. I am so looking forward to it as I have always wanted to study Revelation. HOPE IS ALIVE!
Looking forward with an open mind…and heart!
Thank you for this message. It was exactly what I needed to hear, because I definitely had doubts about pursuing Revelations in our Bible Study group since it is so very controversial. But your message gave me hope and I will definitely be involved. Thank you again
Thank you, Jesus, that I have hope in you! I was at first scared to study Revelation, and yet I know that throughout the past several years, God has kept me in BSF. I have been in one of the most challenging times of my life, but He has walked alongside me every day and is truly faithful. Thank you BSF and all of the leaders. I joined a Global group last year with my leader in India, and a group from countries all over. It has been one of the best experiences I could ever have asked for. I consider every woman in it my sister, and what a prayer warrior group!
Great encouragement for me to not be “afraid” of studying Revelation this year. Thanks.
I noticed that online registration starts in June. Seeing how it’s June 11th I was wondering when in June?
I’ve done 9 years of BSF in person and this would be my first time to do it online. Thanks so much!
Hi Betty – try this link! https://www.bsfonline.org/mygroup/group
Thank you for this insight. I have heard from others the same, I’m really looking forward to this study.
The first BSF study that my husband and I completed was Revelation. Over several years of learning through BSF, my heart has changed so dramatically; so has my love for God and for people. Two years ago, I wrote and recorded a song about the attributes of God which was inspired by my studies in BSF. I have shared it with many people, including BSF posts, however, I don’t really know how it was received. I just know that now is the time to take whatever opportunities God puts on our hearts to point people to Jesus and His Word.

I want to be like John as he heard a voice, turned to see who was speaking, saw the glorified Christ.
John was given a mission to write what Christ offered him.
I so desire to see Christ in each chapter of Revelation,
Apply what He gives me through my woman and our group discussions .
Looking to Him for hope in the world He has placed me.
To God be glorified.
When does it start?
This study will begin in September. Please go to the Bible Study Fellowship website and find a class near you. Then you can register and see the start date and time. I know you will be blessed. I can hardly wait!
Thank you Carol! Go to joinbsf.com to to help find an online or in-person group!
I loved this email, and note from Bennet, and find it fasinating how she states that the word is equally true….it can be also equally unclear….wow!
I like a good discussion in delving into Gods word. The BSF classes I have taken now four years have made a world of difference in my wanting to know Jesus more, and wanting to share the truth of the gospel.
I was in the class last time on John and would Like to continue with Revelation.
How soon will the book/study guide be ready for purchase and what is the cost. OH, I would like the loose-leaf format.
They are available now on the BSF Bookstore on the website.
You can access the BSF store through your MyBSF account or BSF Online account.
I love this quote, “” all Scripture is equally true, but not always equally clear”. That is we humbly ask the Holy Spirit for clarity or wait for heaven’s understanding.
I agree! That statement of the BSF viewpoint encourages me to continue with BSF and take the course on Revelation.
It can be ordered now from the BSF store.
You can access the BSF store from your MyBSF or your BSF Online account!
The book is now available on the BSF website. You can go onto there and order it.
I am 68 years old. Last year (studying John) was my first year to come to BSF. I had lived in a smaller town up until five years ago and I was THIRSTY for the WORD. I’m still in awe at the way God worked in that Bible study. I feel like the scales were falling off my eyes with every assignment, group discussion and lecture. ‘Thank you to everyone who has anything to do with ensuring that BSF continues. I am so excited to study Revelation.
Amen🙏💜
This will be the second time I have studied Revelations and I am looking forward to deepening my understanding of God/Jesus/the Holy Spirits plans for us. I plan to use my knowledge to help others who lack the information to enhance their knowledge of the future of the world.
When will the new book of lessons be available for our based?
God be with you and bless the work you’re doing. Cy Young
I have been looking for a Bible Study on Revelations for a long, long time and was pleased that BSF is going to do it at a time when I am able to participate. Thank you!!
I look forward to the study of Revelation for the second time and this time round would want to know why many preachers do not use it in their sermons. Majority use Revelation in funerals in our church.
