God Has Not Forgotten You
Lessons on Faith from the Fiery Furnace

Have you ever felt stuck in the midst of suffering? Or faced a circumstance and wondered, “How can I ever move forward?” I certainly have. During seasons like this, my husband and I find comfort in Daniel 3. I have always thought this passage was powerful, but in the midst of dark and difficult days, God showed us something new.
So let me pick up the story in Daniel 3:24-25:
“Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, ‘Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?’
They replied, ‘Certainly, Your Majesty.’
He said, ‘Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.’”
Now there is plenty to learn from this passage—not the least of which is that although the fire did not harm the three men, the fire did burn off the ropes that bound them. And, of course, no one can miss that fourth person, right?
Amazingly, most scholars agree that the man who appeared alongside Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego was an Old Testament appearance of Christ.
But the thing I had always missed—the insight that caught me for the very first time—was that they were “walking around in the fire.”
And that’s what really speaks to me.
Trust God To Work
Whatever affliction, whatever fiery trial God might put me through, I can be sure that the particular sin that had bound me before the affliction, will, by His grace, be burned away in the midst of it—done away with in God’s eyes.
God faithfully uses painful circumstances to expose my sin and destroy it.
Like the ropes that bound Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, God faithfully uses painful circumstances to expose my sin and destroy it. His refining fire is strong enough to break the bonds of fear, insecurity, doubt, anxiety, addiction, or anger, before those painful sins break us.
Look Expectantly For Jesus
What God shows us through this passage is that Jesus will be with me in the middle of the trial. Jesus does not stand outside the furnace, cheering me on and telling me to hang in there. This lesson in Daniel teaches us that Jesus goes through the fiery ordeal alongside us; in the midst of the suffering, He is right there!
Step Toward the Savior
And finally, there’s this curious picture of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walking in the midst of the fire.
Too often, we believe that an awful affliction must stop us dead in our tracks. It derails us. It brings everything to a halt and impedes us from going further. Too often we try to stand still, waiting until the trial passes so we can get back to life as normal.
That’s not the way it goes for the Christian. A trial does not bring everything to a standstill until we can wrench free of it and be on our way. A trial is one of the streets through which we move into our destiny. A trial is a pathway on which we walk closer to the finish line. A trial is a road that leads us deeper into the heart of Christ. It’s not something to escape. It’s not a puzzle to quickly solve so we can get back on track. It’s not a detour; it’s the main road. The main thing. It is the main path. We don’t stand still in the midst of a fiery trial; we are called to walk through it.
We don’t stand still in the midst of a fiery trial; we are called to walk through it.
The comfort of Christ’s revelation is not that it teaches us emancipation from sorrow, but emancipation through sorrow.
It was George Matheson who said:
“‘The road is too rough,’ I said; ‘It is uphill all the way;
No flowers, but thorns instead;
And the skies over head are grey.’
But One took my hand at the entrance dim,
And sweet is the road that I walk with him.
Then why do we fret and sigh;
Cross-bearers all we go:
But the road ends by-and-by
In the dearest place we know,
And every step in the journey we
May take in the Lord’s own company.”
Remember that today. When you struggle to move forward, never forget that the Lord walks with you in the midst of the fire. And when He does, the world will stand amazed–not by your strength, but by the strength of the One who breaks our bonds and ultimately sets us free. So, take courage and…walk on.

BSF is great!!!! in many ways!!!
Daniel has been a true answer to a pray.
The story of Daniel and his friends in the fiery furnace is not new . It’s one of the Bible stories used in the Sunday school when we were growing up to teach absolute trust in the power of God.
The recognition of the fourth person, by king Nebuchadnezzar, as a child of one of the gods is a new one on me . That God opens the kings eyes to that recognition is noteworthy. Our God is AWESOME. Praise Him .
Currently I am going through such situations, old, lonely, and widowed. But my climb is uphill and steep, but my Savior has not forsaken me . He is with me giving me confidence, courage, strength, wisdom, and guidance. And every day I am enjoying the fellowship with him, and sometimes the devotion I read help me to understand the situation, as if He is talking to me . Praise the Lord, for His relentless love and grace for which I am not worthy.
Very compelling devotional! I love it! I think the poem that Joni quoted is saying that through Christ we can embrace and love our suffering.
Loved this and so true! I know God has me here in BSF because I have received so much from being a part of them. I have grown closer to my Lord, met wonderful sisters in Christ and was able to manage losing my youngest son to cancer. I will forever treasure this opportunity that came unexpectedly and had so much to offer. Thank you BSF! Praise the Lord for he saves me everyday!
So beautifully said, Joni. God Bless you always.
For me, I was encouraged as I am going through a very painful process of getting my stomach healed. I was recently diagnosed with gastritis and given a diet to follow. Some days, I have asked God if he doesn’t hear my prayer, but Daniel 3 taught me that, even if it were tormenting me as if I am in a fire, it will not consume me. Jesus, my redeemer is right there e and I need to trust and continue to walk in the fire. It will be alright, in his time and in his way. I am so thankful for his word and I am thankful for the ladies in my bsf group, there sharing also helps me . May the Lord God keep me steadfast as Daniel and his friends. May he grand me the spirit of boldness to never compromise in my walk in this world. I worship and glorify the living God. In Jesus name. Amen 🙏
Thank you for this insightful lesson. It has opened my eyes to another aspect. I should not not be immobilized by fear when going through fire because Jesus has already cut the ropes and is walking beside me.
Beautiful
Joni you have been for me a reason to keep on when I want to give up. I caught another lesson. The fire burned up the ropes that bound them He will let us loose even in the fire to witness Him to others.
Thank you Joni
Thank you for your insightful words, Joni. I am recovering from having lost my footing from a faith standpoint and busy putting the pieces together. It helps me to remember that the Lord meets us where we are. Thanks for helping me find a few more pieces.
This interpretation gives us hope and the reassurance that Jesus is with us all the way in the darkest of times.
Such a beautiful way of looking at this story that we have all heard as little children. What a powerful and profound lesson from this story. It truly spoke to me and is a powerful reminder of God in the fire with us and the picture of us not immobile but walking in the fire. What a picture of God’s grace and presence.
“God faithfully uses painful circumstances to expose my sin and destroy it.”
THANK YOU for the insightful sharing.
No one speaks truth quite like Joni. She has always given me courage walking through fiery trials , clinging to Christ
This poem is a great reminder of faith in hard times, and as someone going through a hard time, it inspires me to keep going while reminding me where my help comes from.
THANK YOU! This opened my eyes further to Gods great love for me. I need to lean in closer and rely more. BSF is teaching me this each week. Appreciate so much all the hard work that goes into these studies. May God bless everyone mightily.
Thank you !
Yes I will walk on …Powerful that I should not stand still in the fire but rather walk through. This is very encouraging.
Did I not need to read this message today? Right now I am facing a huge challenge in my life trying to care for my husband following a surgery that may turn into something more horrible than I ever imagined. He has a skin infection that is working its way up his arm toward the incision that has not completely healed. He is not doing his part to keep this from happening since he is constantly using the arm and hand. I am having to trust the Lord to take care of him in spite of these circumstances. I am doing everything that I can physically to keep this infection from spreading in caring for him and making sure
everything is sanitary. The rest is up to God.
Thank you for such truth and encouraging words.
I am presently going through a tough season in my life and his really ministered to me.
Praise God!
It is comforting to know that God is always with me, whatever I’m doing or saying. I do have peace in my life. BSF has been and is my cornerstone. I am so blessed that I was invited as a guest to attend. It has been one of the best things in my life that I look forward to every Wednesday. Praise the Lord!!!!
When we are firmly anchored in Christ, all the fiery furnaces of trouble and misfortune, sufferings and persecutions will not separate us from the Love of God! Thank you, Joni, for reminding us that God is amongst us through the storm, through the fire and through the water!
Thanks for the encouragement in the midst of my pain. My boss is picking on me and I feel a lot of injustice. Pray God to walk with me out of the fire.
I enjoyed this read tremendously. It resonates with my belief and has anchored my stand even more in Jesus Christ .
I would like to read more of your articles
Just lost my father and feeling so miserable. reading this has been a tremendous blessing. thank you Joni.
I like that you walked through the fire as a couple ! And Jesus walks with us all the way ! It is painful but with Jesus we can do all things
I’ve always admired Joni Erickson Tada though the years. What a testimony she has and I know one day I will see her walking and dancing around in Heaven. What a glorious day that will be! Yes, if anyone can relate to trials we go through, Joni can and she has such wise advice. She allows her love for the Lord and all she’s been through to radiate in your wise counsel explaining that even though the fire gets hot, we must keep on keeping on as we know from God’s loving Word, that in weakness God can strengthen us and what we go through can glorify our Lord.
I sometimes feel like the 3 young men Hananiah Mishael and Azariah… that God will appear amid the fire and walks with us through it… but I also know..like they said… even if our God doesn’t save us..eitherway we will not worship the statue… outcomes maynot always be predictable but knowing God must keep us steady… ready for either… like the bull prepped for the altar… ready for work or sacrifice… God’s will be done.
What a powerful insight! Very inspiring. I can walk through fire! My Lord is with me. The Lord of Daniel is my Lord too.
Very good and interesting truth of God’s word. Revelation knowledge of Jesus Christ with the 3 walking in the fiery furnace, unbound and unharmed.
What a Mighty God in Christ Jesus that we serve!
Thanking God for His Holy Spirit’s knowledge of truth!
What an inspiration Joni has given me. As we walk through the different trials in our life. The Lord is with us and protecting us every every step of the way.
Currently part of a group that meets every Thursday morning at 9:45. In Durham, N. C. Graystone Baptist Church in Durham, N. C.
My thanks for showing me about the affliction I have now and that Jesus stands there with me during this struggle as Daniel’s friends survived because of Christ in that fire. Their faith was strong enough and they trusted in the Lord. My trust and faith continues to grow stronger and unswerving and I will survive during my trial of fire because of my trust and faith in Him.
Joni’s blog covered and gave me clarity and insight into what the fiery furnace represented. Thank you.
I feel strengthened and encouraged to continue the race knowing fully well that, i am not alone . Jesus is right there with me in my journey of life.. Even when it hurts badly.
Thank you Joni for this insightful perspective that Christ walks with us in the past suffering , present suffering and the future suffering of our earthly lives – He equips in the fire. God bless your ministry !
I understand the concept of walking through a trial. A month of hospitalizations to get the real problem clinging to Jesus as I went. Getting better only to get worse again and Jesus was there all the way as he is still today. I thank God for my Jesus
Thank you so much Joni. The message is very timely.
Truly, I cannot just sit but walk through the fire with the Lord Jesus!!
Thank you for reminding me about life’s challenges, and to respond to them.
BSF has shown me to accept God’s callings and rely on him and not let my human side.
Thankful for this opportunity to share my thoughts. The blogs gives me inner strength and solutions to how I can best handle my situations.
I need support with handling a situation.
I take care of my 89 year old mother. Her sister is 91 and lives with her son. Aunty and daughter in law do not get along as Aunty causes a lot of misunderstandings between
1. Her son and his wife
2. Involve her sister, my mother, in these situations. Finally I end up taking care of both.
Both are very prayerful. How do I get them to understand what she is doing is wrong.
Thanks Joni for sharing, I enjoyed what you had to say. May the Lord continue to bless you and your ministry.
Thank you Joni, this is something I am struggling with right now. Thank you for the reminder that Jesus is walking through this with me
I needed this. I am walking through some trials and tribulations right now. they are not big like some in the past, but they are there. Joni reminds me tat I am not alone. that Jesus is in the midst not beside me or in front or behind, but in the midst. thank you
Sure, it reminds me that Jesus is with me always.Even though I walked through troubled time thinking that I was alone, Jesus was with me. Thank God that He never leave me alone. He is always walking beside me. ❤️
Walk on. . .this has touched my heart tonight in such a close, tender spot. Praise God for His encouragement through BSF, and through this blog. It is so true for me that He has been my “Fourth Man in the Fire” this season. I glorify His name for walking with me in this fire.
Timely as I open my home to needed repairs and repairmen. So then there other areas that should be done. I would like to just sit down and
read my Bible but this tells me to prayerfully get going. He is with me and beside me so it is not an impossible task. May His Spirit guide me and may I give Him the glory.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Am looking forward to more reading. Thank you
This speaks to my current situation 🤔 I am encouraged to know that the God who was in the fiery furnace with Shadrack, Meshack & Abednego is also with me and will make a way for me. Glory be His awesome, wonderful and matchless name🙏
In 2018 my husband was diagnosed with cancer, had severe complications, my father was dying from lung cancer and I was completely estranged from my only child. In the darkness of my suffering, I fully surrendered to God. Everything is out of my control. Today, 7 yrs later, my husband, still battling cancer and my daughter still completely estranged, including not knowing any of my three grandchildren, my circumstances are the same, But, God has been with me, given me the Strength to walk through my suffering and live with an attitude of gratitude. Without Him, I know I could never have made it this far.
I really appreciated this blog. I have come through about 2 months of unemployment, having to live on an insufficient fixed income. I had often stated that my faith was wavering because of my financial situation. During this time, the Lord has been bringing songs to mind that I have listened to on my phone. It happened again this past Sunday morning so I went to my phone and started listening to music. Just before I left for church, I heard a song I have not heard for several years if not decades. It was a song that, when it came out, I really connected with because I was going through a divorce. That was at least 20 years ago. The song was written and sung by Steven Curtis Chapman and the title was “His Strength is Perfect.” That song reminded me that my strength and faith don’t have to be perfect because, as you said, He is right there with me going through it. I praise God for bringing this song and this blog to me. I pray that the Lord will richly bless you as you continue to faithfully serve Him.
thanks Joni. Well put
Thank yo so much for this revelation. I understand better. Jesus walks with me through my trials. I can’t give up. Amen
Beautiful!! ❤️❤️❤️ PTL!!
What a precious devotional!!
May the Lord bless you and keep you!! How comforting!!
🙏💖🙏💖
Gold and silver are refined in the fire. The impurities are skimmed off to produce pure gold and silver. A fiery trial not only burns those things that binds us it produces gold like faith in God. The king could not bind the three men, God released them from the bounds of the king. This was such a great article. It reminded me of gold being refined as the three came out better than they went in, free from the king’s bounds.
As a men’s group leader this year. I use a phrase I thought of years ago. “ Jesus never takes us out of the storm, He simply calms us in it.” God Bless 🙏
The John study notes a few years ago in story of Jesus walking to disciples in boat on water had something similar Roland – “he is with us IN the storm, he has power OVER the storm, and has purpose THROUGH the storm.”
Fabulous
the insight that caught me for the very first time—was that they were “walking around in the fire.”
Wow, the line above encouraged my heart so much today because they were “walking around” in the fire. They were in movement in the midst of the fire. Not gathered paralyzed with fear in a corner but truly walking around in the fire, through the fire – all because they trusted our Lord.
Oh how I am learning to keep moving, walk a little more and be more active during my “fire experiences”. Praise God for being with me everyday no matter what I go through.
This was a wonderful blog overall! However, I don’t see that Shadrach,Meshsach &Abendego were bound because of their sin! They refused to bow to an idol and honored the Most High God! They obeyed the One True Living God and stood on truth, trusting God regardless of the outcome, even facing death! They were not in sin!!!!! God freed them& revealed ” Himself ” to all that observed! These 3 men of great faith & obedience were spared for God to be glorified!! I think the greatest quote in all of scripture was when they declared that even if God did not spare them ,they still trusted ” Him”.
The most frequent verse to comfort those in suffering by BSF some 20 years ago is 1Corinthians 10:13.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
[13] No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
This is one of the verses quoted most frequently in BSF Notes. The other one is 1Peter 2:24.
1 Peter 2:24 NKJV
[24] who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.
Pray that these verses still blesses all believers in sufferings, including sicknesses.
Praise the Lord.
I like the fact that the ropes binding them were burned off, but not their arms. Walking with Jesus frees us from the punishment or suffering that makes us uncomfortable of being bound tightly.
Wonderful Devotional Joni applicable to our study from a person who has Trials Daily to work through with Jesus.
God Has Not Forgotten You… thank you for your meditation
A trial is a road that leads us deeper into the heart of Christ.
Spoken from a woman who is a living example to us all.
“That I may know Him and the power of His ressurection and the fellowship of His suffering”.
Faith is like film. It’s developed in the dark.
Wonderful article and so timely with my life right now. I feel under attack from the enemy and need to remember that Jesus is with me. So very grateful !
“His refining fire is strong enough to break the bonds of fear, insecurity, doubt, anxiety, addiction, or anger, before those painful sins break us. ”
Walking with Christ in a firely trial is to break my bonding sins, walking not merely prayerfully, but also working off the bonding with His help.
What a powerful and beautiful encouragement this beautiful autumn day in October. Christ is not cheering from the sidelines. He’s right here with me, knowing everything I’m feeling.
❤️ Joni’s blog!
Wasn’t Daniel’s first response prayer?
Then we read Daniel prayed 3 times daily.
Perhaps we should deliberately kneel down to pray at least three times daily like Daniel to remind us of – to thank Him for His presence, power, protection and promises and to renew our faith, our trust in Him and to give us His strength and courage to keep a’going!
I had been introduced to Joni many years ago through her music and books and a movie on her life. What a nice revisit I had this morning from Joni and her thoughts of OUR Daniel.
Thank you BSF.
I thank God for sustaining and carrying me through out testing. He promised not to leave nor forsake me, and He kept His promise. Truly, the Lord is a Promise Keeper. He never fails to amaze me with His kindness, mercy and grace after grace. Jesus my Savior is trust worthy. No one is like Him..
Amen 🙏
We are placed in the fire but He walks alongside of us. The fire is meant to strip us from our bonds of sin. The fire is not meant for destruction of our faith yet it is for the purpose of growing it stronger to withstand the flame. The fire is meant to burn within our soul so that we can reflect His image a blaze.
I’ve been going through the most difficult trial I’ve ever faced – I lost both of my brothers in 14 months of each other; during that time, both of our much loved pups died 2 months apart, & just recently I lost my absolutely beloved sister. That left me as the last one in my birth family. On top of that, dealing with my sister’s executor has been a tremendously pain filled experience. In all of this, Im learning lessons of forgiveness & trust and faith in God
This is a wonderful reminder that the presence of the Lord, whether or not we are aware of it, is real and constant. Jer.29:11-12 calls us to reach out to Him, and we will find Him there.
Thank you so much. I am encouraged to walk through the trial not hoping to be “free”very soon , but patiently believing Jesus Christ my powerful Savior who is always with me; In hardship, if I want to escape, I am acting and thinking that my Savior could not intervene for the next step that He wants me to face again!
Again thanks and may all fellow Christians be encouraged!
wow thank you for that wonderful encouragement. God bless you.
What a compassionate God we have! He is not a silent spectator to our suffering and pain. He is Immanuel, God with us, walking with us through the fiery furnaces, threatening tunnels and wildest waters holding us by our hands. The only solace in our suffering is that the same God who spread the skies and hung the stars is with us! With Him by our side, we fear no harm and as we gaze into His eyes, the troubles of this world flutter and fade away.
So my brother/sister, take heart, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and move on! The Lord your God is with you!
I first heard of BSF while talking to an elderly lady one day. I wanted to know more so II decided to attend the location she attended because the drive was easy and I wanted to go somewhere I didn’t really know people. BSF is blessing me in so many ways. I was seeking spiritual growth. I love the way the teachers guide now not only helps me to teach but to get an understanding. The breakout groups hold me accountable to spending time with God and doing my lessons and the lecture makes it clearer. I am now a leader for the children and while it is scary i’m a sense (my fear of public speaking) I can see each week that God is growing me and of course He is there with me as I obey Him and do the work He has sat out for me. Everywhere I go I tell others of BSF and encourage them to find a class in person or on line.
Praise the LORD! Joni , GOD has used you to encourage me again and again as I “walk” through challenging and difficult health issues
But yes! GOD does use these trials to refine! But our light and momentary afflictions are nothing compared to the joy we will experience when we see Jesus! Face to face!!
I’m reading these truths this morning for the first time. I thank God for speaking so clearly through Joni!
I needed this reminder today. It was truly a blessing for me. God is in control and he walks before me. Praise His Holy Name!
Thank you so much for the this blog giving more revelation and understanding of Daniel 3. Its word in season for me. “although the fire did not harm the three men, the fire did burn off the ropes that bound them”, that can only be my Sovereign God.
Also that “a trial does not bring everything to a standstill until we can wrench free of it and be on our way. A trial is one of the streets through which we move into our destiny”. “Its a time of being lead deeper into the heart of God”.
That stood out for me-thank you so once again for being used to speak to me in such a season.
Praise be to God for He is faithful!
Thank you for the message
Thankful for such deep insights about Daniel and his three fellow men that is very inspiring.
Speaks to my/our lives today.
Joni. Thank you for your comment. You have given new meaning to carrying one’s cross and following Jesus. The cross is the way to Jesus.
Very encouraging indeed.
It’s not easy but GOD!
I have spent my years trying to run away from the discomfort that emerges from life trials. Praying earnestly that God may remove it. I am grateful for this season’s study..I am meant to WALK in the fire..because Christ is with me.
I love this. “We don’t stand still in the midst of a fiery trial; we are called to walk through it”
Thank you Joni for sharing this.
I am in the midst of a fiery furnace right now. I have been encouraged and uplifted as I read Joni’s explanation of Daniel’s three friends, walking in the fire unbound and unharmed. The fourth person in the fire with them has reminded me that Jesus is with me in my difficult moments, and that He is closer than I can even think or imagine. He is not outside but in the difficult situation with me. Oh how I love Jesus, who has unbound me from my sins and has set me free. I am also encouraged to learn that when in a situation I should not stop walking, I should not stand still in the midst of a fiery furnace walk through the furnace. My prayer is that I will come out of the fire purified from sin that bound me. Joni’s post has ministered to me. Thank you.
Love the precious insights into this famous Old Testament narrative! Thank you Lord Jesus for breaking our bonds & walking with us in our fiery trials & refining us!
I don’t know how to start this. But ive been experiencing fiery trials of unemployment. I’ve come to this season not because I did something wrong. At my first company I was terminated because of redundancy, at my second job now as a freelancer I was terminated because my boss was not satisfied with the work in which not even my responsibility. Now, I feel like nothing is working. Checked my emails just to see rejections. I’m so close again to giving up. I just praise God that I checked my emails just now and saw this blog emailed to me.
I know that the Father is just burning the ropes of fear that entangles me for years. The only hope I have is that He’s with me, therefore I don’t need to be afraid. Brothers and sisters, we are not forgotten.
Thank you for encouraging me with truths that Jesus is with me through the fire. The past year was very difficult and I clung to Him every moment of the day. But this year is a time of rejoicing, optimism and celebration!
Wonderful article and so timely with my life right now. I feel under attack from the enemy and need to remember that Jesus is with me. So very grateful !
I love this blog. Its so encouraging. I pray for unwavering faith like Ezekiel, Daniel and 3 Hebrew boys. Their faith never stop believing in God. He was going to take care of them. Even if they didn’t live through it they was ok with that. They knew that a heavenly home awaited them.
Thank you
Christ Jesus is the fourth person in my trusting God for delivering a family member from serious addiction. His presence is so real, such that there is no doubt He will come through for this girl, to the glory and honour of His mighty name. Victory and excellence is assured over our daughter in Jesus’s name.
Dear MS. Joni Eareeekson Tada, thank you for explanation of this passage in details, and sharing the poem.
Thank you for reminding me that God is with me every minute of the day.He said He will never leave me or forsake me.I thank Him that He is working thing out on my behalf.
Dear Joni, thank you for sharing.
Your sharing is at the perfect time where I am going through. Yes, just entered into it….
But I trusted God is faithful and truth to be with me to face all circumstances and trails…
That was very encouraging.
Amazing revelation!!! Thank you.
God is personal and His love closest to you in walking through trials
I know what it like to be in the firey furnace, but I said if he did it for the 3 Hebrew boys and Daniel in the lions den he will do it for me hallelujah and God did it.
Thank you Joni for your insights in this amazing story of unimaginable trials and protection. You’ve described it rightly that we must walk through our trials and not wait for them to fade away. God strengthens us through it all.
thank you I need this at this moment, because I am walking thru the fire!
Praying for supernatural strength and comfort while going through this fire and God will give you hope and peace
I love these BSF Blogs and this one by Joni was especially meaningful and thought provoking. Please continue these as they are a great addition to the lessons. BSF just gets better and better! Thank you for your insights and helping me become a better follower of my Lord.
Walking through the fire in our trials God is always there for me no matter what situation I face in life
In the midst of fire God. What a wonderful revelation to know that I”m not alone in this journey of faith.
I am going through the hardest struggle that I have ever endured in my entire life. My husband filed for divorce on 6-5 after 12 yrs of marriage. He is a narcissist and I am wife #5. I prayed for this man and God brought him to me in 2010. The spiritual warfare is real as well as the horrible verbal abuse.
I know that God is able to do all things. I have been having horrible depression!
I’m praying for supernatural healing and your husband will supernaturally feel the presence of God like he never has before and you both will be set free from bondage Amen.
I have been looking at my life trying to figure life by my own standards. I am trying to let go and trust God. I admire Daniel. The faith he had to trust God. He and friends set their mind on believing God and acting on God’s word. I want that kind of Faith!
Exactly what I needed to hear at this point in my life, I’m going though a fiery trial but I believe that in the fire God will burn the sin of anger, anxiety and every other sin that has bound me for years. I trust that He walks with me in the fire and I am safe in His presence.
My feelings exactly! I’m in awe of Daniel’s unending faith and trust in God through the painful trials and tribulations he and his friends faced. This world can be challenging but knowing what Daniel endured reminds me that God is in charge of all things. I’ve been so comforted reading and studying the Book of Daniel.
My God is always with me there is no doubt, He knows what I can bear me with every trial he makes a way. The way may not be out but in the midst of it He reveals me the understanding and insight, the strength, wisdom and courage to walk with Him. King Nebuchanezzar and all the people saw these men whose bodies the fire had no power. King Nubuchadnezzar blessed the God of Heaven who delivered His servants who trusted in Him!
Iam so encouraged by the testimony and inspiration by the AuthorThe book of Daniel and Ezekiel gives me Hope and more trust in God.
I have been so blessed by this blog. That Christ is right there with me through the fiery trial is the most encouraging thing. He’s not cheering me from the sides. He’s not watching me from afar. He’s right there with me! Thank you for reminding us of this.
Emily, I agree 💯. That Christ is with me always, even in a fiery trial, is very comforting.
